Westonbirt Arboretum Christmas light trail will dazzle visitors this festive season with a brand-new light experience that offers a paradise illuminated by a million twinkling lights.

Westonbirt is the National Arboretum, which is a botanical collection which consists mainly of a variety of tree species and shrubs, and its trail, created by the award-winning team behind the spectacular Christmas at Kew and Christmas at Blenheim, promises to showcase the arboretum in a whole new light.

Imagine delicate, luminous birds suspended in the air, vibrant neon trees reaching for the sky, and a sparkling tunnel leading you deeper into the enchanting forest.

Great opportunity to offer a spectacular light experience

Westonbirt’s events manager, Zoe Tyler, said the festive illuminated light trail is a great opportunity to offer a spectacular light experience which makes the most of the arboretum’s unique collection of stunning trees.

She adds: “We are excited to see the amazing new installations and believe all our visitors will enjoy Christmas at Westonbirt, over 23 nights this winter.”

Visitors exploring the trail can enjoy warm drinks and food from various street food vendors.

The Christmas Village will also be open, brimming with festive treats and unique gifts.

‘Never-before-seen experience for all the family’

Forestry England says it is hosting ‘a never-before-seen experience for all the family’ which has been created by RG Live, a division of Sony Music.

The firm has been creating illuminated trails for more than 10 years with each one designed to showcase the unique and natural environment of its setting.

It has created more than 30 trails across the UK, the USA, Australia and Europe.

The firm’s head of UK trails, Matthew Findlay, said: “Quite literally it will show the arboretum at Westonbirt in a new light and visitors can expect a collection of beautifully designed illuminations, choreographed to seasonal sounds which will fill the evening air.”
