It’s that time of year when many of us will enthusiastically – or be forced! – into wearing Christmas jumpers and Marks & Spencer’s is the first shop out of the blocks with an impressive knitwear range for children.

Indeed, it is probably worthwhile remembering that national Christmas Jumper Day is on 14 December, though many workplaces ‘encourage’ the festive spirit by having a day, usually the last working day before breaking up, where staff wear Christmas jumpers to work.

Now the Marks & Spencer selection of jumpers will meet every need and their children’s designs are among the cutest creations around.

Christmas jumpers featuring Paddington Bear

From Christmas jumpers featuring Paddington Bear to polar bears and penguins, there’s an excellent design for children of all ages.

While some children may not be big fans of fluffy and cute designs, there’s a plain blue festive jumper that has mice sewn on the bottom edge and there’s a tropical flamingo print too.

Many of our high street shops are getting their festive merchandise onto the shelves and Christmas jumpers for children will impress.

This flamingo print design also comes in menโ€™s sizes so it can be a matching mini-me set if required.

However, the cutest designs tend to be for girls’ Christmas jumpers and one has a pair of bright pink mittens that have been stitched into the front, while another features a penguin juggling a pair of fluffy pom-poms.

Marks and Spencer’s knitwear prices start at ยฃ12 and rise to ยฃ18, depending on the child’s age, but for those who have a current obsession with Paddington Bear then their offering is very impressive.

Harry Potter jumpers

Meanwhile, Primark has unveiled a line of Harry Potter Christmas jumpers and they are a great bargain.

Indeed, ‘Potterheads’ will go mad for the knitwear for the festive period.

For those who enjoy the films, when Harry wakes on Christmas Day he rushes to wish his friend Ron โ€˜Merry Christmasโ€™ and to find that he has put on a maroon jumper featuring a big letter ‘R’ on the front.

Ron isn’t so impressed but Harry is when he finds his own knitted jumper under the Christmas tree from Mrs Weasley. It features the letter ‘H’ on the front.

This jumper is now available as part of the Primark range.

For those who want the original Ron jumper with a letter ‘R’ then that’s available too with the festive jumper range costing ยฃ14 each.
