The enchanting illuminated lights trail features stunning light installations, including a mesmerising tunnel of stars and a dazzling display across the lake.

Guests can also enjoy delicious festive treats and soak up the atmosphere with friends and family.

For a festive treat that’s hard to forget, immerse yourself in a magical world of light as Dunham Massey’s historic gardens, moat and park are transformed for Christmas.

Discover twinkling lights, stunning installations, and enchanting music as you create unforgettable memories with loved ones.

Wander through ancient trees bathed in light, marvel at the dancing reflections on the moat, and explore the garden paths lined with captivating displays.

The trail is around one mile long and takes around 1-2 hours to complete with the event closing 90 minutes after the last entry.

There’s a variety of food, drink and funfair rides onsite.

Refreshments are available at the trail’s start and end, with additional options halfway.

A place to meet, walk and escape

Dunham Massey is a green haven which is found just south of Manchester where it is a place to meet, walk and escape.

Home to ancient trees and a herd of fallow deer, there’s a network of paths and avenues to help make exploring easy.

The estate’s gardens are popular all year round and with seasonal highlights including bluebells, snowdrops, roses and tulips – and it’s one of the UK’s biggest winter gardens.

The Georgian house is packed with stories and treasures that have been amassed by the families who occupied the estate for more than 300 years.

The surrounding footpaths offer access to 3,000 acres of rolling farmland and picturesque villages.

Open: From 4.30pm, last entry 8.30pm and closes at 10pm – times vary, please check beforehand.

Admission: Off-peak: Adult £19, Child £12.50 (Age 3-16); Family £41 – £60 (1 or 2 adults + 1 or 2 children).

Standard: Adult £24, Child £16, Family £51-£75.

Peak: Adult £26, Child £18, Family £57-£83. Parking £8. National Trust members can park for free if booked.
